I am a current sophomore. Last year I did my freshman year in mexico. I have always taken good care of my grades. Last year I took chemistry, mexican history, spanish, english, general math, music, technology, pe, and ethics. On 8th grade I took algebra one honors. I had all A's except b's on both technology and mexican history. I received a C in ethics. This year I took english, geometry, biology, and world history. All these were honor s courses and I also took 4 electives this course. I have all A's. Those bad grades in mexico were just caused by not having previous experience in the subjects before and also because teachers in mexico can give any grade they want even though you get a 10 on everything. In this year, I have won several awards on state and regional science fair. I play guitar and piano. Obviously I speak fluent spanish since it is my first language. I have received college level results on a school's standardized test. I also received college level results in the local community college's placement test. I will be taking calculus 1 and english 101 at the college this summer. I will continue next semester with what follows english and calculus and also take college physics. I will only take one elective and american history next year at my high school and probably government in senior year. If I keep getting A's on everything, do you think I would have good chances to attend a top university like mit, princeton, columbia, etc.? I really am multi cultural and I am already studying for the act. Is there anything more I can do to improve my chances? I am sorry for the long post, but my counselor doesn't know what to answer. I am also learning to type on a smartphone. Thank you for your time :)

I am also in nhs and mu alpha theta. I play soccer and I have done signofocant community service with the local community foundation. 50+ hours in last two years.

Please chance me

Many schools don’t count the GPA from freshman year. So you should be fine. Just keep up the good work and show a good trend in GPA from Sophomore year up.
