SAT II - 1400/2400 <- Awful I know, retaking in December (Aiming for 1800+)
GPA - 2.5 <- This is from Grades 7 - 11. (Idk what is weighted / Unweighted its not like that in the Bahamas)

Question : Do colleges look at your GPA from 7th grade? If not which grade?

University of South Alabama

I guess a 5.0W GPA is the requirement to get some feed back here ;)

how did you play five years of varsity soccer?

I've never heard of a college that looks at 8th grade and earlier.

"Never suspended" isn't an EC.

My school in the Bahamas goes from 7th grade to 12th. I played on Varsity since 7th. Anyway, I heard (possible rumour) that most institutions only look at 11th and 12th grades (?). And I know that not being suspended isn't an EC, I accidently typed it there, just incase that mattered.

I don't think you have good chances at all. Your SAT is really low and your EC aren't great. Get the SAT score up first then start looking for schools. Please don't take offense to this...I'm just trying to give you some honest feedback.

Yeah I know, but most of those schools are 90%+ admittance.

MSSU is 99% and only requires 980 combined on Math and Verbal for guaranteed admittance, this I already have.
Lincoln is 94% and only requires 2.5 GPA to be admissable
Cameron University offers guaranteed admittance.

get the gist, I've already looked into these schools.

By the way thanks for the constructive criticism.

Ok, well then I guess you'd have better chances. Also, colleges will never look at your middle school so don't put that on your application.

Comments appreciated ;)

Here's some info on the colleges on your list:
First I'll list average SAT scores for the 25%/75% levels, then I'll list tuition for out-of-state students per year (since you are from the Bahamas), then I'll list your chances:

Missouri Southern State University--SATs 1380/2400 to 1710/2400, Tuition $7,800 out-of-state--Chances: Match

Cameron University--SATs 1260/2400 to 1560/2400, Tuition $8100 out-of-state, also room and board runs $4,000 per year--Chances: Match

Delta State University--SATs 1320/2400 to 1560/2400, Tuition $8600 out-of-state, also room and board runs $3,800 per year--Chances: Match

Florida International University--No SAT or ACT scores given (not required), Tuition $8900 out-of-state--Chances: Don't know, but probably Match

Troy University (Troy, Alabama campus)----SATs 1320/2400 to 1620/2400, Tuition $8400 out-of-state, also room and board runs $4,900 per year--Chances: Match to Slight Reach

Lincoln University--SATs 1060/2400 to 1380/2400, Tuition $10,050 out-of-state, Room and Board $6,600, Chances: Safety

Langston University--No SAT or ACT scores given (not required), Tuition $7100 out-of-state, room and board $4,800--Chances: Don't know, but probably Safe Match

Franklin University--No SAT or ACT scores given (not required), Tuition $7300 out-of-state--Chances: Don't know, but probably Safe Match

University of South Alabama--SATs 1400/2400 to 1720/2400, Tuition $6,900 out-of-state, Room and Board $5,900, Chances: Match to Slight Reach

The best schools on this list are easily Troy University, Missouri Southern State University and University of South Alabama . Also, these schools are at least somewhat well-known, while most of the rest are not. If I were you I would pick one of these--probably Troy State since they give better financial aid than South Alabama does (Troy gives an average financial aid package of $8,500 versus South Alabama's $3,000--I can't find any statistics on Missouri Southern giving financial aid)--and because they are the highest rated school of the ones listed here. Also they have more campuses and offer more majors to choose from.

Good luck to you.

P.S. Don't be mad at the others on here--these are not schools that many people know a lot about--unlike some of the other schools discussed on here.

Thank you ever so much!
Your post was greatly appreciated!
Thanks again!

Calcruzer, can you please indicate where you got this information from?

Thank you in advance

I use a few sources--the websites of the schools, the Princeton Review book on the Best 361 colleges, and the magazine put out by U.S. News and World Report when they announce their best 2007 colleges. In this case, I used the US News and World Report magazine (although I used the 2006 edition since I don't have the 2007 edition--which just came out a week or two ago).

I should also point out that I have other books I use less often--and I have actually spoken to some of the admissions people at different schools--like at Dartmouth, Purdue, Pittsburgh, Carnegie-Mellon, Indiana, UC Berkeley and at UC San Francisco (which only admits grad students).

I see, thanks for the feedback

Bumpity bump

Sounds like you could play soccer somewhere and get into a better school that way or get a free ride.
