Hey guys,

I am seriously considering transferring to another school as a sophomore and would like to know what matters most in my transfer application. Is it my SAT scores, college/high school GPA, extracurricular activities, academic evaluation, etc.? And as for ECs, what is the most important? Leadership roles, internship experience, community service, etc? Can anyone let me know? Thanks!!!

@bomerr But since i have only been in college for less than a year, does it still matter that much? And does taking honors series courses help? In other words, which one is better getting an A in regular calc or a A- in theoretical honors calc? Thanks!!!

Honors courses can’t hurt. The difference between an A and A- is not a big deal. If you transfer as a Sophomore, you will have to provide both your HS and College transcripts but the college ones will be the most important.

@xraymancs Thank you! What about SAT scores? Since I am an international student, I did not get a really good score when I was applying to college.

You will likely have to send your SAT scores too as a Sophomore transfer. If you were transferring at the Junior level, then the SAT and HS information would not be required by most universities.

@xraymancs However, is the score equally important as when applying to college as a freshman?
