What are some good matches for me/can I get into these colleges?

Hi, all! I’m a junior in high school. I live in Virginia, and am hoping to get into UVA, but my dream school is Yale. So, if you all could chance me for those and maybe find me some other applicable schools, that’d be much appreciated!

ECs: Scholastic Bowl (A Team all 4 years), Science Olympiad (all 4 years), Indoor and Outdoor Track (last 3 years), NHS (senior year), Forensics (senior year). I will have played piano for 12 years by the time I graduate.

Academics:

I skipped a grade in elementary school and am a year younger than everyone else in my class, so I will be graduating when I am 17.

UW GPA: 3.9
W GPA: 4.2
Class Rank: 15/180

Freshman: Algebra II H, Web Technologies, Earth Science H, English 9 H, French 2, Geometry H, PE, World History I H
Sophomore: French 3, French 4, English 10 H, DE Precalc, Biology H, Chemistry H, PE, World History II H
Junior: Physics H, AP Calculus, Research, Photojournalism, French 5 H, AP English, AP US History
Senior (planned): Modern Physics, AP Multivariable Calculus, (AP Statistics or Computer Science), Discrete Math, AP Government, AP English, AP Computer Science, Economics H

I’ve never received a grade below a 90%, but due to my school’s 7-pt grading scale for the first two years, I have received a B+ once. I have not taken the SAT, but I received a 200 on the PSAT and am hoping to get a 2200 or above on the SAT and a 34 or above on the ACT.

My parents make around $70k/year total. My dad has a masters in Civil Engineering, and my mom an associates degree in Psychology. I’m hoping to get a degree in either Math or Computer Science.

Thank you!

From a CA resident’s perspective, some good schools (I’m applying west-coast only) for math/science are the UCs, UWash, and Caltech, though all are very competitive in those majors. Check out mostly any school with a Tech or of Engineering in the name, and think about cost/location as well.

What are your ACT/SAT scores? Those have a large impact on admissions decisions.

I’ve not taken the SAT or ACT and I’m hoping to do that sometime in the spring. However, I’ve asked some people and taken some practice tests online and most of the results have centered around 2200 and 34 respectively. Also, I’d not be able to afford out of state unless they have really big merit scholarships or give out a ton of grants (see: Ivy Leagues)

Out is state publics in general do not give good financial aid so I would not consider the UC’s. USC/Claremont Colleges/Santa Clara are some privates to check out.
