What are the consequences?

Hello you guys, so I know it’s pretty late in the game to be doing this-but could the UMN rescind my acceptance if I drop the second semester of my second language? It would appear as a Withdrawal (W) on my transcript. I am planning on taking a different language during my first year at the U.

There were a lot of medical struggles my family and I faced during my second semester of senior year which made me miss more than a month of school. It’s made it near impossible for me to catch up in this course. I’ve been working hard to understand the material, but I’m worried I won’t pass the class. I rather withdraw with a passing grade right now of a B+ rather than keep the course and have a D or F on my transcript.

Any help or advice on this would be appreciated  Thanks!

Ask them.
They’ll be more benevolent if you get in front of the problem and don’t wait for it to go away or “disappear”.

But when you say “my second semester” do you mean that you had several years completed satisfactorily or that you planned on taking one year then cut it short so that you only have .5 credit in a foreign language?

@MYOS1634 I ended up calling them and I was able to get more information
