I didn't get any information on the Honors Program at Rutgers and I can't understand whether it is due to the fact that I was not qualified or simply that they forgot to send me anything.

My guidance counselor had told me that he believed I would get into the Honors Program, and since I was admitted in late November, I really think that materials would have arrived by now.

I got information on the Presidential scholarship, however; maybe the Honors Program stuff was supposed to come with the scholarship?

call them up and ask.

I can only speak for the Pharmacy program, since that is where my DS is enrolled. There is no honors program in Pharmacy in freshman year, regardless of you stats coming into the school.

See if you can find any information using the Search feature on the Rutgers site, and if not, I agree with TheRoadUntaken, give RU a call.

Incoming First Year Students: To ensure full consideration for admission to the School of Arts and Sciences Honors Program, an applicant must apply for admission to Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey through the Office of University Undergraduate Admissions by the December 1 priority application date. School of Arts and Sciences Honors Program admission materials are sent to students selected for admission to the Honors Program beginning in December, and thereafter on a weekly basis. No offers of admission to the Honors Program are made after March 15.

Incoming first year students offered admission to the School of Arts and Sciences Honors Program must return the School of Arts and Sciences Honors Program Response Form to the School of Arts and Sciences Honors Program Office by the May 1 deadline.

For incoming first year students, there are two pathways for admission to the School of Arts and Sciences Honors Program:

* First-year applicants may be nominated for consideration for admission to the School of Arts and Sciences Honors Program by a guidance counselor, high school teacher, or a member of the Rutgers faculty or staff. Self-nominations are also accepted. All such nominations, including self-nominations, must be accompanied by two letters of recommendation from teachers, guidance counselors, or others who can provide evidence of the applicant's scholarly accomplishments and promise. Admission to the program will be determined on the basis of the materials submitted and an evaluation of the potential contributions the student will make toward the development of a community of scholars with diverse talents, interests, and backgrounds. For additional information about admission to the program, including deadlines, and a nomination form, click here.
- First-year applicants who meet all of the following three criteria will be offered admission without nomination: a minimum high school rank-in-class in the top 10 percent (90th percentile); a minimum total combined Critical Reading and Math SAT score of 1350, and a minimum Critical Reading score of 650.

First-year applicants who do not meet all three of these criteria should follow the nomination process above.

Students who believe they qualify for admission without nomination but do not receive notice of admission into the Honors Program in a timely manner should contact the Dean of the School of Arts and Sciences Honors Program immediately. Please note that the School of Arts and Sciences Honors Program does not send out offers of admission after March 15.

Anyone hear from Honors Engineering school? 'cuz I still didn't.

The last time I called them at the end of March, they said they would be sending them out in early or Mid April.

1400 and you should be fine (critical reading above 650 to be safe).

I was worried about not being accepted into the Engineering Honors program as well, since I most definately met the requirements. Got the letter today finally.
