I know that nursing is not an easy major, but I wouldn’t consider applying to UT or A&M because despite the lack of time I will have, I need a part time job to pay for school. My original plan was to get my associates (RN) at a community college and my bachelors (BSN) at a public university (that’s all I can afford). However, I do not want to waste my time at a cc when I can get a degree quicker at a uni. I have applied for scholarships but so far I’ve had no luck. According to the research I’ve done, UT Arlington, UT Tyler, UT El Paso, UTRGV and A&M Corpus Christi seem to have nursing programs that don’t seem too demanding (from the reviews I’ve read). I’m also interested in the UTHSC in San Antonio, but I’m not sure if their program would be rigorous or not (as opposed to the other 5 schools I mentioned). Any insight on these schools or any other schools I should consider would be greatly appreciated, thank you!
