What is NJMS looking for when it comes to fit/mission? Is it passion for the underserved, or research, or academia, etc.?
I know there’s clinical volunteering, nonclinical volunteering, and the rest (grades, scores, recs, essays, passion for medicine, interview), but what is NJMS specifically looking for theme-wise in applicants?
One who can articulate their passion for medicine and show academic preparation to handle the rigor of medical school. One needs very high SAT/ACT score, UW GPA, medical ECs, volunteering and research, IMO. Your essays and personal statement also matters. Go through their website yourself - academics, patient care and research are important to NJMS.
