What are the people like at SDSU?

I was recently accepted to San Diego State’s Weber Honors College, which comes with a few perks and whatnot and I know that the campus is amazing and that San Diego itself is beautiful. I’m worried that the students at SDSU are going to be pretentious / snobby though, so I was wondering if anyone had any insight on what people are like there? I’m from California so I know the casual beach vibe and stuff, but I’ve heard from a few people that they didn’t like San Diego State because the people were rude or unfriendly to them and that’s worrisome to me. I’m not a huge partier, but I know SDSU is a party school. I don’t mind kids that party though or anything, and I still like to have fun and everything, just not every single night for me at least. Basically I just want to know if SDSU is chill and friendly and a place where I would actually be able to make real friends, or if it’s just full of a bunch of kids who are shallow and don’t care about school but instead only care about looks and partying? I know this is asking for a generalization and there are always going to be exceptions, but just in general what are the people like at San Diego State? Thank you!

The people at sdsu are nice however I found most of them dress alike lol and walk like models (my thoughts; not a bad thing either) but overall really nice campus and offer different clubs you can join to meet people who are like you!

SDSU has well over 30,000 students, I’m not sure you can stereotype them in a single post. You’ll honestly find all types.

The Honors College has their own dorm, I’m sure you’ll find plenty of like minded people there. I’d try to get down there and visit the Weber, sit in on a class or two and visit the dorms as well. Bottom line, most people in Weber won’t be huge partiers.
