What are the recommended deadlines for the residence halls?

I've heard a variety of things about how quickly these residence halls get taken. I'm considering Jester and San Jac, but I turned in the $50 several weeks ago. I have yet to pay the $200 fee. Does this mean I'm likely to get into either one of these halls?

you’ll most likely get into Jester. priority is based solely on when you turn in your housing application and the $50. since you turned it in several weeks ago, getting into San Jac has a pretty small chance but who knows?

how early do you usually have to turn in the app to get into San Jac?

November to have a good chance, December/January to have a fighting chance. after that you need a bit of luck

I’m aiming for San Jac. I turned in the app in October.

What about Honors Housing? What’s the deal with Plan II acceptees…?

I’m think that if you’re in the honors program, you should be able to secure a spot in an honors dorm pretty easily. there’s not as many applicants and there’s usually leftover rooms for non-honors students to fill in. As with the deal with Plan II acceptances, I’m afraid I’m not sure what you mean.

^ Oh, it was just a tagalong question about Honors Housing. Since there are less Plan II students than say…Engineering Honors students, I was kind of wondering if Plan II kids had an easier time getting honors housing.
