I know that it’s required that they were in the same sorority but it can be from a different school, but I’m wondering if there’s a requirement as to how long before you go there that they must have graduated? Like if I’m starting school in Fall of 2017, am I able to get a rec letter from somebody who graduated the Spring of 2017?
Generally the only requirement is that they be in the same sorority. The don’t have to have gone to the same school. They don’t have to have gone for a certain length of time nor do they have to be a graduate. Some sororities allow current students to write them, others don’t. There’s no way for a non-member to know. If someone graduates in Spring 2017 and writes a rec, you should be fine - they’e an alum, so all is well.
Perfect, thank you!
