What are valid reasons to transfer?

You've got the question, now list...

Want to be at a different school.

The validity of transferring depends completely on the individual person... if you decide you want to pursue a major that's not available at your current school, transferring could be a good idea. If you are socially unhappy to the point it's affecting your work, transferring could be a good idea. If you want to be more challenged academically, or simply want a different student body size or college location, transferring could be a good idea. Usually it's a combination of several factors though.

not academically challenging, opportunities not available for your interest, school could be too big or too small for your individual needs, financial reasons or other extenuating circumstances, social atmosphere doesn't fit you, or just a general unhappiness with your college experience. there are a number of other viable reasons; of course, prestige is not one of them. don't transfer just because you feel you might like another university better, because you may very well be wrong.

for me....

a more academically stimulating place
closer to a city

Different for each person, although I would assume that you don't like your current school for one reason or another. However, you also should find a school you want to transfer to and have a goal of getting there rather than getting away from your current place.

closer to home and the boba place, and the tennis court.

Horrible dorm life is why I'm leaving, as well as the fact that I found Mount to be too liberal for me.

i have a question. if you're at a two-year, what do you put for this essay topic? i mean, if you just talk about why you wanna go there, you're just glamourifying the school, right? are they REALLY going to look favorably on that? this is some weird sh.

The word is glamorizing. And that's fine -just do your research about the school so you can be specific about class or programs you want to take. You can be creative with the essay, but if you have specifics as well, it will make you sound credible.
