What are you bringing?

i want an old fashion bike with a wooden basket and a bell. doode and then i can read my MMW crap while eating an apple under a tree.

Haha, game conversations. Ex-cal-m right hurr.

Such an interesting conversation..

@vii

I'm guessing you got into ERC? Good luck with your History GEs :{

just to bring up the old thread… what are u guys bringing to the dorms? and should i take small tv to my dorm if i get a single?

Aren’t there microwaves in the kitchenettes that are set up for the dorm suites? Don’t really want my room full of cooking smells, 'specially if the roomies eat fish!

yea, the dorms have microwaves :)

phone, laptop, speakers, bed stuff, posters, bathroom stuff, dart board, wii, sunglasses, clothes, beach stuff, and a texas flag

Suitcase of knives.

CONDOMS for sure.

We don’t want STDs right guys?

Just FYI… the ERC dorms did NOT provide microwaves. There is really only a sink and a stove.

Hmmm…

-Laptop (that’s capable of playing games very well)
-Paper, Pens, Pencils, Notebooks etc
-Bedding w/ Blankets
-Clothes/Shoes
-Bass Guitar w/ Amp (Not sure about Sixth’s policy on instruments in the res halls, or apartments)
-Xbox 360/Wii
-Hopefully I can bring a decent tv since Sixth has a “living” room for each suite
-Those plastic containers that fit under your bed to hold crap
-Pots/Pans/Utensils

If you bring a Wii or XBox 360, I’d caution you against leaving it in the common room or anywhere someone could get to it. I’ve broke into most colleges’ dorms (I just don’t have the patience for my friends to come get me), and Sixth dorms are the easiest.

Sounds annoying that people would want to steal… at UCSD. Oh well, hopefully I’ll get a single dorm in the apartments and not really worry about it.

Laptop (spiffy new MacBook Pro?), printer, ink?

Writing utensils, paper, notebooks, notepads, and other stationary

Mini-fridge (if I can find one cheap)

Clothes, shoes, etc.

Gym bag, hand bag, backpack, tote bag, etc.

Bed sheets, blankets, pillows

Medication like Tylenol, Pepto-Bismol, etc. if allowed…?

Hair products (shampoo, conditioner, brushes, blow dryer, straightener)

iPod (hopefully a Touch!)

Toiletries, mirror

Cell phone + charger

Camera, photos of family/home

Cooking set (comes w/ mixing bowls, spoons, ice-cream scoop, etc.)

Roommate’s bringing a TV. (: Obviously, I’m way too excited about this. Am I over-packing?

about laptops and computers. Do I have to bring my own cable to connect internet in dorms?

^Yes. 10 char

:D after frosh year you could sell the fridge or use it for a wine cooler. (:

what we did was contact all of our suitemates/roommates via facebook and made a thread, so we could figure out what we’re all bringing. If you’re cool with everyone, the whole suite doesn’t have to bring 8 microwaves and fridges, but rather share in the common room.

It also depends what college you’re in, because of the layout of the dorms, and room size.
