What are your biggest school pet peeves? RANT!

<p>my school has students switch buildings between periods. they're are certain paths/ doorways that are meant to be one direction only because they aren't that big.
it drives me crazy when someone comes down the path or hrough the door the wrong way and then expect you to make room for them.
also, all of the doors to the buildings are double doors. people tend ot open one and not the other. when its FREEZING cold outside and theres a traffic jam at the door cause only one is open, it makes me want to scream.</p>

<p>I hate it when the teachers make me do work.</p>

<p>It's a little irritating when instructors will enthusiastically agree with anything a student says, even when it's preposterous. </p>

<p>I.E. In my lit class, one less than bright kid said that "Lady Macbeth was inspired by Laura Ingalls Wilder and Shakespeare saw Wilder as a feminist leader and tried to capture her strong essence in Lady Macbeth."</p>

<p>The instructor smiled and said "Yes, that could quite possibly be true. Very nice."</p>

Just in general when you say something really brilliant, but the teacher didnt hear, then some jackass blurts it out after hearing what you said, and the teacher turns around and congratulates them.

SRSSSSSLLLLLLLLYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY gah.</p>

<p>When...</p>

<ul>
<li>the cafeteria runs out of food before it's your turn in line.</li>
<li>teachers don't say there's a test until the day before it.</li>
<li>there's a test for every class on the same day.</li>
<li>couples randomly stop (blocking your path) to make out and/or other forms of PDA.</li>
<li>people trash the restrooms.</li>
<li>people cuss in almost every sentence, even in the classroom.</li>
<li>there's a school library but it's not open.. (stupid budget cuts).</li>
<li>teachers grade based on whether or not they like you. <em>cough</em>AP Physics<em>cough</em></li>
<li>people join clubs but never show up to the meetings even when they're not busy.</li>
<li>teachers remove notes before you finish copying them.</li>
<li>people litter even when there's trash cans nearby.</li>
</ul>

<p>^plattsburghloser
seems too dumb to be true. Is it??</p>

<p>you think your bathrooms are bad? Two kids got caught having sex in the boys bathroom during our ten minute nutrition break.</p>

<p>wow buffettime.</p>

<p>lol our school doesnt get much pda.
its more gf/bf talking and staring at each other.</p>

<p>Mine:</p>

<p>-When everyone in the class are crowded around outside of the door (it's obviously locked) and someone checks to see if the door is open.
-When you're trying to get to your next class, and this group of people hang out in the middle of traffic, making it worse, and when someone pushes them, they get ****ed.
-When you're teacher tells you during the last 3 minutes of class you have homework.</p>

<p>-When people cluster around in large circles that block up the whole hallway and nobody can get through.
-When the teacher doesn't 'hear' your answer
-People who obsess about grades. "OMG. I GOT A 99%. I FAILED!!!!"
-These kids who were in this program for smart kids for junior high and get to go into any AP class as a freshman. I can understand this for some classes, like AP Calc. But for others? not so much.
-Can't go to the library during study hall
-People bothering me to do their hw/classwork for them or copy. Though copying doesn't bother me as much anymore
-people who do their homework the minute before it's due.
-Kids that act like know-it-alls and try to refute whatever the teacher says.
-When the teacher doesn't teach/know what their teaching.</p>

<p>Lol. I have a lot. xD</p>

<p>-People who make out in front of your locker. I'm a really wishywashy person, so I try to wait until their done, but they're NEVER DONE. EVER.
-People who think they know what they're talking about, but really dont, and end up saying something pretentious and obnoxious.
-Non-honors/AP classes. Sorry, I just hate them. Unless it's fine arts. The people irritate me, and I get bored out of my mind.
-AP classes. Too much freaking homework. I pull allnighters nonstop now.
-School food. Not only does it taste bad, it's beyond ripoff.
-The little freshmen who cuss at me in the hallways like they're cool or whatever. Please.
-People who mistake me for a freshman just because I'm small.
-None of the bathroom stalls have locks. You have to put your backpack there so people know you're in there. But what if you dont have your backpack?!?!
-I always inevitably touch the bottom of a desk and come in contact with a crapload of disgusting gum.
-How slow the computers are. They must be ancient, and the server is made out of pudding. Disgusting pudding that rots and crashes every week.</p>

<p>Oh, too much to list :]</p>

<p>-people who walk slow
-when people walk fast in front of u and then brake suddenly (happens everyday)
-u and another person walking the opposite direction collide despite the idea that the other person had like 20 ft of open space to navigate through. ("woah! my bad! didnt mean to walk into u" "oh dont worry. its ok u dont use all the extra space we have" haha funny time)
-ur in a AP class and the class complains about there being too much homework...
-having a stupid wannabe smart ass...
-having a kid who complains that hes smarter than u but cant figure out why u have a higher GPA than he does...</p>

<p>-People who type "you" as "u" and "are" as "r" and all those other irritating shortcuts. I have a friend who types "jux" for "just." PLEASE. It doesnt take that long to type an extra letter, and it takes a lot longer for the reader to try and figure out what you're saying. I'm not being nitpicky about capitalization and punctuation, but spelling is a must. Doesn't 12 years of English instill any values of correct word usage into people? Sigh...</p>

<p>When everyone in the class are crowded around outside of the door (it's obviously locked) and someone checks to see if the door is open.
I actually love doing this because around 60% of the time the door is actually unlocked and no one realized it. It's hillarious when I open the door an everyone stares at me with this "WHOA! SHE'S MAGIC!"</p>

<p>Oh and to whoever said normal (minus fine arts) classes, I totally agree.</p>

<p>Most of my peeves have already been mentioned, but today in English class a kid was like, "Philosophy numbers among the most useless branches of study imaginable! Why, only today we learned of these chaps named Schopenhauer and Hegel, but I dare say their ideas are complete trash and the arguments used to support said ideas nonexistent; where they do to provide justification they always fail basic coherency!" I wanted to kick him in the face...</p>

<p>If the lights are out and you hit the lights so you can see and somebody's like TURN THE LIGHTS BACK OFF!!!!! it's like oh yeah I forgot that the teacher won't teach or something if the lights are off.</p>

<p>I also hate when people are disrespectful to a sub. and then are like I didn't do anything when the teacher comes back.</p>

<p>-Most of the people in normal classes
-People that complain about me putting my feet on their chair (try sitting in one of those small desks being 6'2")
-People who automatically think they are smarter than you because their gpa is higher (even though they spend their entire life studying while I spend 20 minutes a day on homework)
-Walking straight towards someone and having to preform elaborate dance moves to get past them (not to mention how embarrassing it is)
-People who talk about getting drunk and sex (yeah, I do too, why should I brag about it?)
-Really rich girls
-Emos
-Body odor kids (FFS, USE DEODORANT)
-Kids who brag about grades after they cheat</p>

<p>-people complaining about their grades to the teacher during class and arguing continuously until they get their way
-people saying, "Whatdya get????" as soon as a test/other work is handed back
-people who find it necessary to pick on other kids, that makes me sad
-people who think they are funny and make similar non funny comments everyday in class
-the rednecks who make retarded/racial comments almost everyday
-listening to girls complain about the most ridiculous things (I know it's already been said, but it really drives me crazy)
-the gross bathrooms
-the kids who don't deserve to be in AP but unfortunately are
I could go on forever...</p>

<p>*eachers who don't stop talking
*porkers who can't stop raising their hand in my economics class
*teachers who count you tardy if your not in your seat
*when the bathroom is filled with people
*people who stop walking suddenly, and i nearly run into them
*people who think they are cool because they procrastinate/didn't do homework
*foreign languages
*pda
*crappy food, long lunch lines (and cutters in the lines)
*teachers who call on students randomly
*bullies, not necessarily to me
*cliques
*spending 3/4 of class going over homework from last night when i easily understood it</p>

<p>that's all i can think of right now</p>

<p>I am sure at least five people mentioned this before, but -</p>

<p>Teachers who think you are ONLY taking their class and believe that 2 hours worth of homework is "reasonable".</p>
