What are your favorite makeup/skin care products?

Hey CCers,

I was looking for a makeup and skin care thread, and I couldn't find one, so i thought id start one here =D

Skin care- I LOVE the Body Shops Tea Tree Oil products, really helped calm my skin down when i had intense acne. they worked really well for me.

but now that my skin has gotten a bit better, they are starting to dry my skin out. anybody know any products that are good for realllyyy sensitive skin. i was watching a youtube vid, and they recommended clearasil for sensitive skin.

im a drug store sucker- ie: tried tons of neutrogena [the wave, famous orange, bar, acne wash, moisturizer, etc., clean and clear [havent tried their "green oily red removing ones" but i kind of dont want to, proactive, acne free, garnier, loreal and ive tried the big bad brandnames, such as lancome, but nothing just seems to make the stuff go away.

i took accutane bout... 6 months ago and ive started breaking out a teensy bit. im really afraid its going to come back. any ideas? i have super sensitive skin, one wrong move, and i break out like crazy. something for dry skin, but doesnt moisturize to the point where it clogs pores

makeup loves-
bobbi brown- nude on nude eye palette
anybody tried her shimmer brick palette?

Trucco eyeliner pencil

smashbox foundation primer- i convinced five people to fall in love with this. a must!

maybelline the colossal mascara

NYC peach palette
Neutrogena bronzer

what are ur fav picks? *i think ppl should state what products didnt work either.

Lancome <3 It’s all I use because my mom refuses to let me buy the cheaper products. But half the time I complain that it’s too expensive and she’ll buy me some more.
;)

Ouu, and I have this, and I LOVE it.

http://www.lancome.ca/_en/_ca/catalog/product_oscillation.aspx?prdcode=18101p&categorycode=AXEMakeup^F1_MU_Collection^F2_Fall_Collection&vname=PRD_Name&&

oohh the pictures look really gorgeous. sounds like it applies well.

ive heard amazing things about dior blackout mascara as well. my mom uses it, and it looks GORGEOUS. my friend uses dior iconic and says the same thing!

btw, have you ever used benefit? their packaging is so cute and tempting!

I love neutrogena face wash, too bad they’re so expensive compared to other brands but they work really well.
I only wear eyeliner or eyeshadow as eyeliner and my two favorite brands are maybeline and prestige.

^^you’re lucky that your mom buys you makeup! my mom and i rarely even talk about it.

Anything from sephora is great. Love bare minerals foundation and bronzer. Any eye shadow there is top notch. Always always always use estee lauder eyeliner. Still trying to find my one and only mascara.

Oh and btw I don’t wear make up on a daily basis. Mostly just for parties or if I some how magically wake up from school early.

Also tea tree oil really does work wonders. I don’t really gave acne prone skin but whenver I feel a bump coming through a little drop the night before works wonders.

^ I’ve been to sephora once. It’s heaaaven.

I like them all :b

^ What do you think about Clinique?
Do you like it? haha

It’s surprisingly comfortable (?)

hahhahahahaahahahhahaahhahaha
you should have probably googled it. clinique is known for their amazing facial washing kit thingies. it also helps your acne, and leaves your skin so smooth :)

I’ve always been self conscious about the rapid growth of my arm, leg, and facial hair
Clinique made me feel better about myself

As I have a Y chromosome: anything that makes a girl look her best.

Good moisturizers are hard to find :P

What TheYankInLondon is really dying to say is that he loves Clinique as much as Maple does.

^ No I was trying to necro this thread so that there would be an active thread on HSL that wasn’t about make up. But your idea makes me sounds nicer

I use Proactiv for my skin.

That’s about it lol

^^ hahhahah

^ I don’t have acne, but I have the refining mask for random ones. It works really good.

Haha, I just use it to clean my skin.

I think that it works:)

evelyn and crabtree products are good.
