What are your safeties?

I thiiiiiiink Hampshire and Skidmore will be my safeties. Maybe I'll pick one more. Eehhhhhhh.

washu, umich, and cornell are my safeties, which sounds really bad, but it's because of tasp + the fact that i'm a legacy at cornell + the fact that our schools sends 2309482380432 people to cornell a year. however, if i'm deferred/rejected, i'll probably freak out and apply to a school that i have an even better chance at such as gw or bu.

same here with cornell (well not the legacy part)

garghahaha... (I don't really know what that is)

Wash U hates being a safety, and now I know why. So many people use it as such. I guess being Missouri doesn't do anything for your rep, does it? Personally, I'm also applying to Wash U regardless of what happens on the 15/16th. It's seriously such an awesome school.

But go Yale!

If i get into Yale, im applying to only UPenn, Georgetown, Brown and Stanford.

If i get deferred/rejected...like 15 schools.

Wow...15 is a lot to do in a month.

I have 10 that I'll do regardless of what happens, but I have most of 6 mostly done or done.

If I don't get into Yale, I'm applying to UPenn and Macalester.

im still going to yale most likely (95%) if i get in.

If I get into Yale, I'm going. There is not one doubt in my mind...

yea i know. im not having fun.

but i have most of upenn, brown, stanford, georgetown done and 5 are common app...so i only have like 4 to go plus an essay or two.

bob^3:
where are you from?

yeah i agree with hillier. if i see the word "congratulations" my other apps will not even be sent. perhaps thats why im proctrastinating so much in doing them.

only problem for me is that i would have to double at yale to major in international studies...which is the closest Yale has to international relations.

Yeah - and that would suck.

I can't figure out what my primary major would be.

yea i want to major in international relations/international business but since i love yale sooooo much, im willing to make a sacrifice and double in poly sci and international studies. THATS HOW MUCH I LOVE YALE DAMNIT!

oh yea, im from long island.

Have you checked out the ethics, politics, economics major? It combines pretty much all the concepts of an International studies major with the practicality of a business degree.

I am willing to sacrifice, too. SO WILLING.

There is such a major?

Why doesnt that come up on the website?

Do you have a link to it?

that would save me an s load of work.

heh, as for me, the molecular biophysics & biochemistry major looks awesome.

yea i feel bad because i have done SO much zoology/biology research and then i wrote down poly sci, international studies on my app...they might not like that.

List of majors: <a href="http://www.yale.edu/yalecollege/publications/ycps/chapter_iv/majors.html%5B/url%5D">http://www.yale.edu/yalecollege/publications/ycps/chapter_iv/majors.html</a></p>

Ethics/Politics/Economics:
<a href="http://www.yale.edu/yalecollege/publications/ycps/chapter_iv/epe.html%5B/url%5D">http://www.yale.edu/yalecollege/publications/ycps/chapter_iv/epe.html</a></p>

My only problem with EPE is that it's an exclusive major which would require another application process after sophomore year to be admitted into the program.
