What Bank do students at UT open an account at?

Lol I didn’t even sign anything, they just did it without my consent.

BOA has overdraft protection (it will pull money from your savings account). They also let me slide on 1-2 overdrafts :).

DenuMz, please be a better consumer  ; I am pretty sure you gave your addresses and information for Chase for “marketing purposes”, and those activities (I believe) count under Chase’s Marketing purposes umbrella.

Chase has overdraft protection linked to the savings account too (free on some checking accounts). But do you know the 40 dollar (average) overdraft fee they slap you for letting that overdraft pass is usually around a 120 percent interest on that item. So come aug 15, you will be automatically opted out of overdraft protection.

Xtra, they apologized and almost fired the personal banker that did it. Family has a fortune in that bank and I complained to corporate. We were talking about a checking account and he pulled both. They are not allowed to do it without consent. We made it clear we did not want a credit card.

Oh, your family had a personal banker?? Well, that changes things.

Lol bank employers who are in charge of customer accounts (opening/closing) are usually called personal bankers. They may be called something else though. Anyways, can I use your account to pay for my parking garage? k thnx :D

Sure no problem. In fact, DenuMz, you can have that parking at the old condo of mine, so when that guys comes back, he could break into your car  and it’s absolutely free parking.

Yeah, the people in the bank that aren’t tellers or mortgage/loan underwriters are called “personal bankers”. You use them when you want to open/close accounts, move large sums in and out of CD’s, etc.

Also I’m glad BoA absorbed Merrill Lynch, it really integrates their investments well with their regular online banking options.

Loll xtra, I think I’m going to leave my baby at home the first semester.

Why Two Kay, I am assuming you are a business major??? I disagree with that merger. different company styles. I wonder if that Boa ceo could ever unite merrill under its umbrella

So eclipze, did I answer your question?

Sure. Your debate of BoA vs Chase is interesting =D.
Thanks everyone who has given me their thoughts on this matter. I’m really grateful and appreciate all of your contributions!

okay, that is good.
