Applicant with base stats around 3.91 gpa, 35 act. hundreds of hours research experience and clinical exposure, ecs outweight stats, in past post, still probably nothing special for bsmds. I’m not sure what bsmds are still open that are also reasonable to apply to, ex: im in texas but baylor takes 6 kids so i did not want to bother applying to something so out of reach, but I have texas tech and uab on my list. Any and every bsmd suggestions are welcome, whose deadline hasn’t passed yet and I can still apply realistically from this time period on. I also know many programs are being cut (Rice baylor, boston, northwestern i think) so lists online that ive found aren’t giving the most accurate results
Are you the student or the parent?

I suggest posting this question in the below thread to get more responses. Good luck.
@anonhser9 UC Merced is starting a BS/MD program with UCSF Fresno for Fall 2023 with class size of 12. Preference for students that serve the San Joaquin valley. SJV PRIME+ | BS to MD Pathway | Undergraduate Admissions
@WayOutWestMom does the new Merced BS MD program give preference to residents of the San Joaquin Valley?
This poster is from Texas.
The UC-Merced BS/MD Pathway gives very strong preference to those who are from the San Joaquin Valley or who have demonstrated a strong commitment to serving that area.
What do you have to lose applying to Baylor to Baylor? You have the stats and the ECs. Being from TX, traveling to the semifinal round in Waco should not be a problem. BCM interview will likely be virtual.
Be ready to be excited to be in Lubby and to serve in Lubbock or somewhere similar. It was hard to show the enthusiasm when my kid interviewed there even though we already practiced mock interviews. But when the reality hit in Lubbock’s cold and desolate environment, it was hard for him to feel the excitement.
UAB has an in-state preference and tries to have an equal males to females ratio. Birmingham is a growing city. I’m sure it has its own growing pains, but the med school and the undergrad campuses are close to high tech companies; that allows so much research activities. Birmingham is also a foodie city; lots of good eatings around campus.
I also think that you have what NJIT and NJMS want. Why not throw your name in the hat? If accepted to NJIT Honors College, you’ll get a near full ride. Once NJMS accepts you, your undergrad will mostly be covered, unless they change that policy recently. Newark is not the most exciting place on earth, but it’s close enough to NYC to visit weekly and the honors dorms are nice.
Oct 31st is not very late. In addition to the ones listed, you will have a bunch of other bsmd’s to choose from with slightly later deadlines
Florida Atlantic University

BS to MD Train the Trainer - Prime+ | UC Merced | Admissions - YouTube It is on this slide and the speaker says 12 students admitted annually. This BS/MD program is derived from the SJV PRIME program which only has 12 students as well per this video Discover UC Merced: SJV PRIME+ BS/MD PATHWAY | UC Merced - YouTube
