So, basically, my situation is this: I wanted to get into ECON 2010, which is obviously a high demand class. Back on August 2nd or so, I saw on SIS that the class was open, but needed instructor permission to get in. So, I did the permission request, and next to enrollment requests, the "pending" icon was there. So, I waited to see if I would get an email that would either deny or accept my request, but nothing for a couple of days. I went on vacation, and when I came back, there was still nothing. When I checked Lou's list, today, I saw that now there were 519/480 enrolled in the class. So, clearly students were admitted, but my request never changed. Is there anything I can do to get in to this class?

If the section you want is Elzinga’s (and everyone wants that section:)), be patient. He does go through and read each person’s request, but obviously cannot admit everyone who wants to take it. If you are first year, you can take it next year.
