I'm new to the site, but I was hoping to find out more about my classes for the coming year. I'd love any feedback or comments. I'm taking AP physics, Ap Calc, Ap Latin, Ap US History, h creative writing, and hh american studies (english). I just want a better idea of what to expect. Thanks.

They are all dependent on the teacher. Ask kids in your school about the difficulty of each class - that would be your best choice. AP Physics is generally regarded as a harder course. In my school though, the teacher’s class was easy, but b/c he didn’t move at a fast pace, I had difficulty with the exam. AP Calc BC has a good curve so it’s an easier test. Class depends on teacher though. My teacher was notoriously difficult where as other teachers can be much easier. AB is regarded as an easy class yet has a tougher AP exam because of the curve. AP Us History is a lot of reading, but as long as you keep up, it shouldn’t be tough. The others shouldn’t be a problem, though AP Languages can be rather difficult and a lot of reading.

It’s always going to be different, depending on your school and your school’s teachers. Here’s how my experience is for the classes you’ve outlined:

AP Physics: I’m assuming you’re talking about Physics B. I took this class this past year (I’m a rising senior). I thought it was fairly difficult, although I did get an A in it. I got a 3 on the AP exam though. It was a GRUELING exam, in my opinion. My teacher wasn’t the best, though.

AP Calc: I took AP Calc AB this year. I had an amazing teacher who has won AP teacher of the year before (something like that?). She was very demanding. I got an A in the class and a 5 on the exam. It’s the most difficult math class, comparatively, that I have taken to this point.

AP Latin: I didn’t personally take this class, but my girlfriend did. Let’s just say that I rarely saw her the few days before she’d have a test. It’s all memorizing lines and stuff. She hated it, and it looked incredibly difficult/time consuming.

APUSH: I didn’t take this, but many of my friends did. Prepare for lots of reading and memorizing vocabulary/IDs.

I can’t speak for your creative writing and american studies classes.

Welcome to CC!

Thanks. I guess it’s going to be a tough year.

I had a terrible terrible terrible AP US class. I didn’t learn much until I crammed during the last two weeks prior to the AP test. I would not have done as well I did had it not been for my new Bible: Direct Hits AP/SAT II US History in a Flash. YOU MUST BUY THAT BOOK. DON’T EVEN HESITATE.

Good luck!

^ I agree 100%
