Summers here and I'm going to be taking some Community College classes,I'm taking a foreign language and have time for a second class. What should I take? I'm thinking of taking a "Business English" class.

I don't think its really necessary to take CC classes. Regardless, I would take not take a business oriented course, Business English per se. Instead, you should take general courses.

I remember a few students taking Calc I over their junior-senior summer. During the school yr they took Calc II at county as my school did not offer Calc II.

How come you don't recommend business oriented classes?

ronp is right. i took introduction to business class at the cc, accounting, statistics. i just found out stern will not award any business related classes. so that mean, economics, statistics, accounting, etc will be be counted.

So your saying they just won't give college credit for it right? I was just thinking of taking the class so it would make my transcript look good for admission.

I'd rather spend my time on volunteering.

i mean they will not take give you any credit for any business classes. take it if you want.

That too, your credits won't transfer as anything but elective.

I've read on the NYU forums numerous times to take general courses (preferrably liberal arts). You'll be taking the business courses you need at Stern, why take them now and retake them?

In my opinion, if you are going to take a course, you should take a course that will advance your standing in a general subject at your HS.
