what chem to take??

Right now, I don't know what I want to major in, but I have a degree that I'm on track with. I am going pre-med at the moment, and thinking of pursuing a back up, to which I can apply to soph/junior year. So given my mind set and the fact that I want to prepare for MCAT as soon as possible but maintain a relatively medium pace with my education, I was wondering if anyone can help me out with choosing what chem order I should pursue.

Route 1: Take analytical chem and lab. Then take organic chem I the following semester.

Route 2: Take organic chem I and follow up with organic chem II. If I think to continue with chem, I'll take a swing at analytical chem.

Which route will get me the best grades/ prepare me well? If you were someone who took just orgo and not analytical chem, how did you feel? If you did take analytical and orgo, would order REALLY matter in terms of succeeding in the sequence/ MCAT? I need help deciding because some TAs and profs come across as extremely precautious and ambigious when they provide their own opinions. Thanks much :)

sorry, robo but your question is unclear. But based on your other posts, you are attending UNC, correct? if so, just follow the advice of the CH premed advising.

^ thanks for the explanation. I was previously informed at the beginning of semester that I could take orgo before analytical, but I didn’t know that analytical was prereq for orgo II lab, which I was planning on taking at the same time as when I would have taken orgo II lecture. I guess this is why everyone was very vague about skipping analytical in favor of orgo.
