What Classes did you/ are you taking sophomore year?

<p>AP Biology
AP Calc AB
Honors World(AP level so Exam being taken)
Honors British Literature
Gym
Honors Genetics
Honors Chemistry
Honors Spanish III
AP Statistics selfie
AP European History selfie</p>

<p>Most sophomores can’t take APs. I just worked hard in math and am taking a summe class for Bio.</p>

<p>wow you must go to a really nice high school. I live in a rural area…smart kids aren’t really bread here.
I took honors world freshman year then took the AP test and got a 5.
We don’t have genetics or british literature.
I am self studying US gov and spanish lang</p>

<p>My school only offered AP World for sophomores so my schedule was:</p>

<p>Biology honors
AP World History
Early Childhood education
Internship
Algebra 2 honors
Spanish 2 (no honors available)
Band
English 2 honors (online)</p>

<p>And that was basically the hardest schedule offered.</p>

<p>Sent from my DROIDX using CC</p>

<p>I’m a sophomore this year :)</p>

<p>AP Calc BC
AP Chemistry
AP European History
Honors English 2
Honors Spanish 2
Advanced Computer Programming
Advanced Choir</p>

<p>One of the hardest schedules offered:
H English II
French III (honors not offered)
AP Physics
Chemistry (honors not offered)
Civics/W. Humanities (honors not offered)
H Pre-Calc.
Gym (required)</p>

<p>This is the first year sophomores are allowed to take AP classes, but most of them require taking 2-3 years of a subject first. I also had to drop Latin II because of AP Physics.</p>

<p>You guys are lucky. We are not able to take summer classes. I would be in calculus BC if we could!</p>

<p>It seems that my school is one of the worst one here. We only offer 5 AP’s that are face to face and we can’t take them, even if we are qualified to, until junior year. It was a real fight getting them to offer AP Biology (haven’t had it since 2001). And the way my school does AP, makes it impossible to take more than 6 throughout high school. We run a block-schedule, meaning we only have 4 classes a day that are 90 minutes long. They changed the AP system to where it is a two-course sequence. So if you took say 2 AP’s, that would fill up half of your schedule. Taking 4 would fill up your ENTIRE schedule.</p>

<p>US Humanities (It’s like an accelerated history, geography, and english class that’s hell, it’s harder than any AP and since it’s worth 2 credits it affects your GPA the most out of any class. This class sets the stage for class ranks because it severely cripples 9/10 of the students.)
College Prep. Biology
Geometry
Mastersingers
Spanish IV</p>

<p>As a Sophomore this year (“highest” possible courses that can be taken at my school as a Soph):</p>

<p>French II Honors
Chemistry Honors
AP US History
Geometry Honors (Algebra II is taken before Geometry in my district. Ridiculous, eh?)
Driver Education/Safety
English 10 Honors</p>

<p>Last year, as a sophomore, I chickened out and avoided APWH. -sigh- Kinda wish I had taken it.</p>

<p>Anyways, I took</p>

<p>Honors English 10
Honors Chemistry
Honors World History/Geography 2
Honors Pre-Calculus with Trigonometry
Advanced Orchestra
Gym 10/Health/Driver’s Ed
French 3</p>

<p>AP Human Geography
AP Earth and Enviro
AP Psychology ( only sophomore at my school to get this because i argued that it was necessary to be competitive in my application to NCSSM, a residential highschool, next year )
Honors Chemistry
Honors Civ and Econ ( required )
Honors PLTW Human Body Systems ( required )
Honors PreCalc
Honors English 2
Honors Spanish 3</p>

<p>^ same here. Which unfortunately means that I’ll have to take health over the summer, and can’t take all the classes I want to :(</p>

<p>AP Bio
AP Eng Lang
AP Chinese Lang and Culture (no credit >:()
AP World History
Dance PE (gotta kill the fine arts/PE requirement somehow…)
Spanish 2</p>

<p>I go to a mildly large, very competitive public school in a suburban area. My skills are mainly in the humanities, and my school is more of a math/science type of place, so I am not really going the extra mile like you are in my academics compared to my classmates partly for that reason an partly because the school is so competitive and there are so many opportunities and intelligent people there. However, I have heard of some people taking two science courses in one year at my school. Here’s my schedule for sophomore year:</p>

<p>Honors Chemistry
Honors Algebra II with Trigonometry
Honors English (first semester: Writing and Speech Honors, second semester: Perspectives in Literature Honors)
AP Global History and Geography (only AP sophomores can take besides AP Music Theory)
Latin III
Plus electives, which I could give up for an additional course in the core schedule, but honestly I’d prefer to explore things that I truly like. I don’t know if I would be able to handle eight periods straight of core classes. :)</p>

<p>I’m going to be a senior next year, but this was my sophomore year schedule. My school is extremely restrictive and does not let you take AP classes (with the exception of US history) until junior year… Ugh…</p>

<p>Algebra II H
Chem H
English 10 H
US History I H
French III H
PE/Health/Drivers Ed
Intro to Foods/Ceramics</p>

<p>I’m going to be a sophmore next year</p>

<p>Precal Honors
English 2 Honors
Chemistry Honors
AP Latin
AP Euro
AP Stats
AP Bio</p>

<p>well my school ****ed me and so this is my schedule
AP Psychology
Aice Psychology
Ap Euro
Aice Euro
Aice General paper
Chemistry Honors
Algebra 2 Honors</p>

<p>I’m a current sophomore, and I find it astonishing how many AP’s some of you all take! Maybe it’s the school, but we can’t take more than 2 AP’s sophomore year. (Our options are World, Art History, and Comp Sci.)
But alas, my schedule:
Honors Chemistry
Algebra 2
Honors English
AP World History
Latin 3
Creative Writing 2
Italian 200 (outside of school)</p>

<p>Our options are Bio and Environmental for Sophomores. I’m taking Bio junior year probably (and plus, there’s no way I could do well at that class without taking Chem first), so Environmental it is for me.</p>

<p>Wow, I agree with Exodus. My school is really restrictive with AP classes. We can only take AP Euro sophomore year, and for next year, it was a huge process to get myself into AP Psych in addtion to Calc BC, US History and English Lang&Comp. The counselors at my school are really big on making sure everyone gets a study hall and a lunch period, so it was hard to talk mine into not having either. So to all of you taking 12 AP classes this year…I am in awe. Anyway, my schedule this year:</p>

<p>English 2 Accelerated (at my school, we call Honors classes accelerated)
Precalc Acc
Spanish 3 Acc
Music Theory (worst scheduling choice I have ever made haha)
Orchestra
Gym
AP Euro
Chemistry Acc</p>

<p>I know it sounds wimpy compared to everyone else, but it’s the hardest schedule I’m allowed to have!</p>

<p>I’m a sophomore this year.</p>

<p>AP Physics B (dropped it second semester though)
African History (in replacement of physics :stuck_out_tongue: )
AP Calc AB
AP Lang
AP Human Geo
AP US Gov
Chemistry Honors
Spanish 2 Honors</p>
