What classes did you grab?

It was kinda hard to register for the classes I wanted considering my really really late registration time :-/, but what's done is done. So heres the list!

math 20B-fenwick
Chem6a-sawrey
Wcwp 10A-TA taught class
poli sci 12-roeder

did you guys generally get ur first choices?

I got a pretty good time. thurs at 8:20 i got all the classes i wanted

my time isn't until tomorrow morning :/

math20c-popescu
vis21-sowell
chem6b-johnson
mcwp40-TA(010)

My time isn't until tomorrow morning either. Most of the discussions I wanted are taken. Damn it.

math20a - eggers
chem6a - sawrey
vis21 - sowell
doc1 - gilson

i don't know any of my professors...it says STAFF...:</p>

all my lectures are at 8am. damn. bad idea huh? M-F!! -_-

It's okay. Mine are kinda like that too.

is it bad if it says STAFF? does that mean a TA is teaching that class?

yes 8 a.m. classes are HORRIBLE. You will be miserable for the first quarter in the college. But sometimes there is no way around it like my classes. 2 of my classes are only offered in the fall and only have 1 class in the fall which is a 8 in the f'in morning. I hate college already.

Actually, I chose to have those 8 am classes. I'd rather wake up early for a lecture with a teacher who can actually teach, than wake up later for someone who doesn't know what he's talking about.

It's all about preference, I guess.

Poli 10 = American Government
Math 20B = Calculus/Science & Engineering 2
Phys 9 = The Solar System (no physics in it, score!)
WCWP 10A = Warren Writing 1

Monday:
Poli 10: 10:00a - 10:50a / York Hall 2722 / Gary C Jacobson
Math 20B: 12:00p - 12:50p / Center Hall 115 / Shuichiro Takeda

Tuesday:
Phys 9: 12:30p - 1:50p / Warren Lecture Hall 2005 / David Robert Tytler
WCWP 10A: 2:00p - 3:20p / Center Hall 224C / Linda C Brodkey

Wednesday:

Math 20B: 12:00p - 12:50p / Center Hall 115 / Shuichiro Takeda
Poli 10: 5:00p - 5:50p / Warren Lecture Hall 2114 / Discussion

Thursday:
Phys 9: 12:30p - 1:50p / Warren Lecture Hall 2005 / David Robert Tytler
WCWP 10A: 2:00p - 3:20p / Center Hall 224C / Linda C Brodkey
Math 20B: 5:00p - 5:50p / Warren Lecture Hall 2115 / Discussion

Friday:
Math 20B: 12:00p - 12:50p / Center Hall 115 / Shuichiro Takeda

To point out whats hot about this
- First Class @ 10am 2 days, and after Noon on 3 days
- One Class on Fridays
- Warren Writing, which is relatively hard to get according to the Orientation leaders
- Late discussions allowing for lots of study time or time to complete homework.
- If all 4 classes have Finals, they will be one per day Monday-Thursday

Score?

9/10

I don't like the one hour gap between Poli 10 and Math 20B. Its redeeming quality is that it's at lunchtime.

So you don't have a discussion for two of your other classes?
Sounds like a 10/10 to me.

Oh and I guess the plus side to going by a quarter system is that if you get stuck with an ugly schedule, it's just for the quarter and not for an entire year. :p

So far Phys 9s is TBA with its discussion(no clue why. Heres to hoping it means none), and Warren Writing is dealt with in smaller classes in the first place, so it won't have discussion time.

And lets see yours Slorg. Rating me a 9, psh ;)

Physics 9A, which spaghetti owned by the way--*looks around boldly--does not have mandatory discussions. the discussions and problem set discussions are purely voluntary. this was when i was just a pup, back in 2004--things may have changed since so take my reply with some pepper. depending on your ta you may find the problem set discussions quite useful. or not. MUHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAH
