Im a direct admit to kelley and planning on majoring in business. unfortunately, I didn't make the hutton honors so i'm going to try and get a 3.7 gpa my first semester and get in that way. My question is, what classes should I take to get that high GPA and also fulfill what I need to graduate. What social studies and natural & mathematical sciences?

You don’t need any “social studies” (s&h) classes as a Kelley student because your two required econ classes will fulfill that requirement. Psychology 101 is the natural science that most Kelley students seem to take. You just want to make sure you use the grade distribution for that class because there is a lot of variability in the professors. You should probably at least take an easy A&H class in the first semester. Folk-F 101 seems to be a very popular one, but I regret taking it.

Thanks for the insight, it helps. Why do you regret taking the fol-f 101 class?

It has a lot of reading for a 100 level class and a strict attendance policy.

A good thing though is that Foster is an awesome professor.

Folk 101 has a large A distribution. X220 is an icore pre req and almost impossible to get less than an A. Psych is popular too.

A110 will get you A&M gen Ed credit and will prepare you for k201. It also has a pretty big A distribution

Your entering class does not have X220 has an I-core prereq. A110 won’t help you fulfill any requirements because not a natural science, and the math portion of the N&M requirement is fulfilled by M118/M119.

Was unaware of this info. Thanks. And forgot about m118 credit. I’ve tried to block it from my mind :p

Take GEOL-G 116 for your natural science. The grade distribution is unreal.
