First of all, I am new to this website and I don't know if this is the proper place to ask my question. I am a junior in High School in NJ. I am not sure about my class rank, but I am guessing it is somewhere in the Top 15%. My cumulative GPA is okay, mainly because I didn't really care my freshman year. My Sophomore and Junior Year, I stepped it up and got better grades (I am taking AP classes). I just received my SAT score last week and I got a 2310 with a 1560 combined math and critical reading score (800 Math 760 Critical Reading and 750 Writing (10 Essay)). I am pretty sure I can raise my writing score to an 800, making my super score a 2360. I plan on becoming a doctor and I am not sure if i can get into any Top Tier Schools (Top 50). I feel like my class rank will hold be back. I do run track and cross country, attend but hold no positions in Asian-American Club, Key Club, FBLA (1 year), NHS, and Health Careers Club (1 year). What do you think? Can I get into any Top 50 schools? If so, which ones? Lastly, I know it is a long shot, but what about 7-year medical programs? Thank you to all who reply.

I’m pretty sure you’ll have a good chance (target/maybe high safety) at the schools ranked 30 and higher. As for 1-20, they will be your reaches. Your test scores look good, but I don’t know what your meaning of an “okay” GPA is, but if it is above an 90/3.5 UW, you’re fine.

Apply to HYPSM just to give it a shot but u can get into great schools like johns hopkins, USC, emory, and tufts

Just apply to your local community college. A 2310 is terrible.
