What did you chose for one of the supplemental essays?

I did my “Liberal Arts and Sciences” essay about the concept of lightfoil. At Rochester Institute of Technology, physicists discovered that light can provide lift, just like air. So I talk about the future and poop like that.

My other essay I chose was “Describe the world you live in…” or whatever. I talked about living 15 minutes from UVA, and how all of my family’s friends were researchers. I was surrounded by sciency people, and that led me in that direction as well.

Perhaps too science focused, I don’t know. We’ll see what happens.

ill read essays if anyone wants to read mine! -PM me!
for the work that challenged me i wrote about the awakening by kate chopin… and for my other essay i chose my favorite word. Which is…nugget. I had to be honest hahah its such a great word:)

brit ill read yours  ill send you mine

eagles,
did you end up using the one you sent me a while back? because that one was great!

For the first essay I wrote about A People’s History of the United States.

For the second, I wrote about getting lost in a bookstore.

I chose to write about my favorite word: Synergy.

for the required essay for the college of arts and sciences, I wrote about Flannery O’Connor’s book of short stories: The Artificial ■■■■■■ and Other Tales.

for the other essay I chose the topic “favorite place to get lost”. I live in Singapore so I wrote about the recent construction of this building called Ion. it is literally impossible not to get lost in there haha.

anyways I hope my essays make me stand out a little, and aren’t viewed as the typical TCK responses.

I picked a book that surprised LOtis Graham’s Our Kind of people, which talks about the Black upper class, and I picked the upper west side barnes and noble for the where I like to get lost supplement.
