What Do I Do?

Hello!

I am current a freshman at Villanova (major: Computer Engineering). My GPA is 3.67, but I'm trying to get it up to around 3.75+. I want to transfer to UPenn so badly.

My ACT was 27, so I know this will hurt me if I was applying now, but I plan to apply when I'm a sophomore so hopefully I can enter as a junior. According you many here, if I apply as a sophomore, they will place more emphasis on my college grades.

But my question is, will the ACT score still hurt me even if I apply as a sophomore? If so, should I retake it? Also, should I take any SAT Subject Tests if I've never taken any before?

Thanks and I need your help!

It may. See Required Testing for Transfer Students [Required Testing for Transfer Students - Penn Admissions](Curricular Requirements | Penn Admissions)

^^ So would you recommend that I take it again? Or should I not worry about it?

^^Why don’t you call UPenn?

They won’t mind if I ask them a question like this?

^^Of course not
