What do most upperclassmen (sophomores) do for housing?

I will be living on campus next year as a sophomore and I’m leaning towards apartment style but would love some experiences or tips! I’m currently in a triple in Landis

Most move to the apartment style rooms but some stick with the regular suite style dorms either because of preference or because they don’t get their choice in the apartments.

Traditions is extremely expensive for what you get. Ragan is, too, but it’s not as bad price wise and is decent as a living area. McCollum is older but cheaper, but the layout with a townhouse style isn’t for everyone. Assuming Rogers is available, since that seems to change constantly anymore, I would say don’t do it.

My son is at Campus Circle. about the same cost as the dorms, but much more room and more amenities.

Thanks for the responses, I definitely want to stay on campus though for convenience (and I don’t have a car)

Campus Circle isn’t too far from campus, as it’s just across Tennessee Street from campus on the northwest side.

Of the three main buildings on campus (Traditions/Ragans/McCollum), Ragans is probably the best middleground between price and quality, but there isn’t anything bad about McCollum, though it’s 4 people sharing 1 bathroom and 2 people in each bedroom and some things are outdated.
