I am planning on majoring in Mechanical Engineering and am considering several schools. Rather than write a thread that compares them all, which inevitably leads to many negative comments about one school or another, I am taking a different approach...

Please tell my why I should go to JHU for Mechanical Engineering. What are the "pros" that make this school the one I should pick over other very good choices?

lol, I just saw the thread you made for NU

The location. Two cities for the price of one.
The campus. Simply beautiful. The beach is great to sit at and do homework at as well as chat with friends at.
The fact that the campus is continually changing and getting better.
the fact that it is the #1 Research University in terms of federal funding. around 80% of undergrads participate in some form of research.
Top International Relations, Pre-Med, Writing, History, English, Art History, Bio-Med Eng, etc programs.
Great name recognition.
Baltimore has amazing amazing food.
new President. great guy.
large Research university with undergrad pop small enough to afford intimate LAC like setting (only around or under 5000 students).

1 school in terms of security.

On campus, you also have NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope place, which is the control center for the Hubble Space Telescope. NASA actually gives the most money to JHU, out of all schools in the nation. yes, even more than MIT.
APL is part of JHU as well. Applied Physics Lab. Look it up yourself.

Look up some of the other stuff yourself. I’m not going to spend all my time telling you why JHU is obviously an amazing school.

I want Ron Daniels back! damn yooooooooooou JHU

Any amazing place is about the people, the people, the people.
