<p>I got deferred by FSU last night. My SAT score isn't too good but not too bad, a 1840. My grades have gotten much better, A's and B's, but they don't know that yet.
I'm really sunken over this, what does it mean? What should I do if it doesn't mean im out of hope yet?</p>

<p>What does it mean? You’re still being considered. You have most of what would make FSU comfortable admitting you but not with the full confidence before comparing you with the rest of the applicant pool and most likely, seeing your transcript updates (which fortunately for you, will be positive). Of course, FSU is reserving the right to eventually reject you – but that’s assumed.</p>
<p>What you need to do next is apply to your other schools (hopefully, all of which you can envision yourself fully enjoying and affording). You’ll hear a final determinatoin from FSU along with the rest of the applicant pool.</p>
<p>Don’t be discouraged but look at things objectively here.</p>
