What does it mean when they don't request an interview?

I applied EA yale, but they never contacted me for an interview.
Does that mean I'm not a desirable candidate? Or was my application solid enough?

I'm really nervous....

Did people who got in to Yale EA usually get an interview?

one of two reasons:

a) there is no one to interview you in your area
b) the interviewers were too busy/forgot

Don't worry about it!
Lots of applicants don't get contacted for interviews, and it does not hurt your chances at all (after all, it's not your fault the interviewer was too busy/nonexistent(sp?)/forgetful). Besides, many say that the interview barely counts for much at all. Calm yourself.

yep, I applied EA but didn't called notified for an interview either.

AHHH DEC 15 is just days away....

Well, they have two more days before they can contact you before all interviews must be done- it really doesn't matter if you don't get one.

thanks. yea. i guess there's no point worrying. =/

I actually contacted my local ASC director around Dec. 1 because almost all of my classmates who applied SCEA had gotten one wayyy in advance. I was a little worried i would 'irritate' him, but he actually thanked me for my "initiative" and said he would contact the local alumni to interview me... and indeed, i got an e-mail a few days later!
