What does Mcgill look for?

I've wondered what Mcgill looks for in students.

Do they care more on my GPA than my admission essay?

What do they really look for?

Thanks!

Not trying to spam if you've seen this thread somewhere else... I've posted earlier in the wrong forum.

For American applicants, McGill looks only at GPA and SAT/ACT scores. No essays, EC’s or references required. If you are seeking a major scholarship, all those are required in a separate application.

Purely academics.

Any specific SAT scores or GPA that they would prefer?

Numbers?

Google is a beautiful thing…

[Admissions standards for previous years](http://www.mcgill.ca/applying/standards/)

You should probably get comfortable searching for info on their website, no?

Yeah, sorry!

Ok, quick question:

When they say “B+ in each prerequisite math and science” do they mean all my math and science classes from grades 9-12, or from grades 10-12? (mentions above “All grade 10, 11, 12 courses are taken into consideration…”

I’m assuming they mean grades 10-12 but I’d like to be sure.

Does anyone know if they completely disregard your freshman grades?
