I've heard conflicting reports on wheather McGill looks at all of the grades or only the grades in your subject matter.

For example If I'm applying to the Faculty of the Arts with a major most likely in Political science, will McGill even look at my grades in math and science or just focus on the History and English grades?

What about for testing? I'm applying to sciences, will they see that I totally kicked butt on the math/science part (36 and 34) of the ACT and say wow, and not kill me for only getting 28 and 29 on english and reading?

McGill take the average of your top 5 grade 12 academic subjects for admission. Well, for within Canada I know that's the deal anyway. If you go to their website they have info on US admissions as well.
