Where do you log in to oasis?

You go to the finaid page and it has a login. I think I had to set it up with my USC ID first but then had access.

I called USC earlier regarding financial aid stuff and when I asked about decisions, the rep told me to expect a decision on the last week of March. He said that a few decisions trickle down to the early weeks of March, but a majority of them are released on the last week of March.

this is so lame

Oh man, this wait is going to kill me.

PLEASE someone quick give me a really exciting hobby to take up all of my time.

Hey, has anyone who can log into Oasis also been able to try the Financial Aid Planner? Jw because everytime I try to access it, I get a message saying my account's not active... even though it is.

Based on last year's thread, it looks like a wave came out last year on March 3rd, which was a Monday. What made you think that decisions would come out before then this year?

Who has the link for a different site related to Oasis where you enter your USC ID and your last name?

carmelojello... i think the confusion stems from the fact that a few people assumed that each wave was always released on a friday (they were just going by what they thought was a common pattern). because of this assumption, everyone thought it would be this last friday (the 27th) that the next wave would be sent out, thus getting most of the decisions to people (especially out of staters) the first few days of march, which matches up well with the March 3rd wave last year. However, I think that most of us probably realize now that the waves probably are not sent out on scheduled days (ie: fridays). They are probably not going to rush the admission process to make a certain day, and likewise, probably won't wait to send out a wave just so that they are all postmarked on a friday. I think we should all just accept that we really have no idea when we are going to get decisions. here's to hoping soon though!

Home page, cursor on admissions at top, click finaid, then My Finaid (left bottom square), then on right "login to my finaid".

rokypa, that's what the admission officer told my college counselor

Well...assuming that the admissions office is just trying to screw with us and there really is a wave right about now (Unlikely but we can always dream), all you SoCal people better keep us updated. I didn't just order a Trojans hat online for nothing, although it would be epic if an acceptance and the hat came in on the same day.

i almost started bawling today cuz my mom told me i got a small envelope from USC in the mail, but it just turned out to be them asking for some financial aid document

They won't send rejections this early.

dbear, me too! My heart was literally pounding when I was opening it.

hey so i'm shifting my question here in case anyone's been through the whole financial aid business:

how are you guys sending all your tax forms? are you all just faxing them? mine aren't signed cuz an accountant handles them so idk what to do exactly.. is anyone in the same boat?

I have foreign tax returns so I just translated all the figures into US dollars and wrote them next to the numbers (which you guys dont have to do) and then faxed them in with the cover sheets that you get from the "my financial aid and documents" from the finacial aid website

dbear, I'm in a different situation b/c my mom did her own taxes this year, so she had all the paperwork necessary to just print out and send in. However, I think that you can just ask your accountant for all of the necessary forms to turn in. And I would do it ASAP.

Did anyone get acceptance yesterday? My friend said some people did, but I think she's kidding me lol

nah, not at my school. and we have alot of people applying...
