What else do I need to get into UC Berkeley?

Hi, I am a college freshman about to start my second semester at a california community college. My first semester gpa was a 4.0 and I am also involved in a lot of clubs, I do not work though. I would like to transfer to UCB’s Hass school of business when I am done with my first two years for a bachelors degree. So I am taking care that I am fulfilling all major prerequisites, requirements stated in assist.org and will also follow the igetc. I want to know that even after all these, is there any thing I need to do to ensure that I can successfully transfer to Haas? Will a SAT score be required for upper division transfer?

Also, along with Berkeley I will also be applying to UCLA and USC. Could that affect my chances with Berkeley?

One last question, is the reputation of the college a factor in transferring to a UC? Will I have better chances in getting in to a UC if I come from a college like the De Anza or Santa Monica College?

You dont need SAT scores, and applying to other colleges wont affect your chances, unless you mention a preference in your essays. A community college rep wont have an affect but some schools have special programs to help students transfer.

In general a 4.0 will not guarantee you a spot, and nothing will really guarantee a spot, its an impacted major and half the people that use this site are looking to get into haas. I’d say it will really come down to your EC’s. Since you and me are both applying next year lets say we both maintain our 4.0, what will differentiate us will be our work experience and overall balance as an applicant. Also just being involved in a bunch of clubs doesnt really sound impressive, you have to try to create a wow factor, for me Ill be relying heavily on my military experience and my current job as a teachers aid.

ecs and essays make or break it a 4.0 helps
