<p>I haven't really found an explanation of what the GAAP weekend is and what happens. I was hoping that I could get this question answered so that I could decide if I should go or not later this month.</p>

<p>Parents are welcome and you should have a booklet detailing the events coming in the mail soon. I got mine today in MD.</p>
<p>It is like real world college confidential. It is a good opportunity to learn about the school and preview it as an accepted student. You stay overnight. Walk around the school. Go to a lecture or two. Talk to students both current and future Think about classes you might want to take. Socialize. Get questions answered. Check out the neighborhood and dc. I would go if you can or are on the fence about attending next fall, but it is not necessary.</p>
<p>Any suggestions- we will be coming straight from the metro with overnight carry on bags. Was told there was no room to store them during the day. Was that true?</p>
<p>My son and I attended the GAAP for early action admits.<br>
We came straight from the airport and left our luggage in White-Gravenor. Several others did the same thing.<br>
It was a good experience and gave my son a feel for the school.</p>
