Title says it all.

You get an NP and your GPA goes down. - just kidding about the gpa

however you have an NP (F) on your transcript which might be an issue for grad or professional school or employment.

you also did not earn those units and therefore are a bit behind in total units toward graduation.

otherwsie, nothing

Nothing you can do now right? Unless maybe you retake it?

which decal are you failing? o.o

How do you fail a decal? I’d speak with the people teaching it and see if you can work something out.

usually the only way to fail it is to blatantly disrespect the class by not attending, not doing any of the assigned work and ignoring the instructors

How would you fail a DeCal (other than by not attending)? I only ‘no-passed’ 2 people from my DeCal… based on their poor attendance. If this is the case, there is a slight chance that you might be able to work something out with the facilitator (some sort of extra work might be required though). That is, unless you just stopped attending altogether.

I also taught a DeCal, and have only ever NPed one student, and I certainly wasn’t happy about it-- and I’m echoing everyone else’s advice to talk to the facilitators, because I would typically bend over backwards to help students out. Ask for extra credit, make up for bad attendance, or take whatever offer your facilitator makes. An NP won’t ruin your life, but for DeCals, they’re definitely avoidable.

yeah i might teach a decal and i want to teach because i love teaching and helping students and i would think that other ppl who teach would want the same. so i dont think ppl would np someone unless it is pretty extreme.
