What happens if your postmark date is March 2 for a March 1 deadline?

Will they not look at your app at all?

They probably just can't guarantee anything. It obviously depends on the college.

Most college are lenient with the deadline, if it's a couple days late they may still accept it. You should contact the school and ask

So when they're collecting the envelopes, they might check the postmarks and if mine is a day off, throw it out?

Is there a reason it was a day late? They usually give exeptions for emergencies.

They probably might look at it as if space is still available application:)

what about supplementary materials? I sent my wellesley app online today but was planning on mailing in my course catalog and a supplementary essay tomorrow morning... should i send it tonight?

GOOD question...I just realized I had overnighted everything to Brown without checking to make sure that they didn't also want course descriptions. Accccgh.

you all dont know what you are talking about. if it is past the deadline they take the application folder and burn it ;). j/k

There is no deadline for supplementary material. So long as all the required documents are submitted by the deadline, you can always add more to your file.

Read the application instructions for Brown's application. Does it say anywhere that course descriptions are required? I do not think so.

Come on guys, where is common sense?

Oh, for God's sake. I had a panic attack because I initially looked at info for quite a few schools and found different information, and for some reason woke up in the middle of the night last night completely convinced that I was supposed to send course descriptions...it was just nerves/stress. Everyone experiences it. Or maybe you don't, because I'm sure you've been completely sensible and levelheaded every moment of your entire life.

Obviously I could just check the Brown site. And did. I know that. Thanks.

idk, brown seems like they are very BIG on high school record, they made me fax my guidnace counselor's high school rec

and they DO NOT WANT a midterm transcript

Thanks, Bball...

You really should just call the school to be sure

I checked their website, and looked at what I was sent. I'm pretty sure.

Nspeds: can you resend essays? can i be like i though about it and i think this better reflects me....?

just curious, why is nspeds soooo like considered the upper authority on transfer admissions here, just curious

i know he was admitted from Gtown, but i mean ppl, don't take his word as the law

i for one, am not an expert, but i got into some pretty fine schools as a freshman, including Rice, JHU, Chicago, Cornell, Northwestern, Emory, and a few others

so i know a few things myself...and a lot of ppl do

he is the only one here who has been through the process and i presumed that he might have researched the same things that we are right now. our questions are procedural. things he's said have helped so far. also he answers.

so do you know if you can resend essays after reediting? or at least some extra ones? i also forgot to send my SAT IIs to harvard. they are not required but should i send them [late] anyhow?

i actually had to sent a revised copy of one of my essays, i called up, they said it was perfectly fine, just state what ur sending, and what its a revision of

Of course. What they did not say is what they would think of it...

I never made any authoritative claims. I only urged the posters on this forum to use common sense.

Wooooo. Yay.

Also, there is no harm in calling the admissions office. I am fine with no one believing me and, if anything, I urge you all to call the admissions office with any substantive questions. At the very least, it will show that you are interested in the school.
