What if I accept UCI and then I get accepted into my waitlisted top choice?

<p>I have been waitlisted to my top choice and I have a few questions. I understand that I won't get my $100 back. </p>

<p>Do I email UCI's admissions office if I want to say that I don't want to go anymore? </p>

<p>The waitlist results come out on May 1st, which is on the same day the SIR for UCI is due. Do I have to decline my spot for UCI on May 1st or can it be done at a later time? </p>
