sorry about smiley face…it was suppose to say only child with single parent(father)

how come you will only get a slight decrease in GPA 3.01 –> 2.98

what will cause that a B or a C ?

GPA will decrease because of my chemistry class.
most likely i will get a C but I’m not sure because I will ask professor tomorrow what is my grade at this moment.have not gotten any updates on my grade since October.

Even if you don’t get in, I’d say that you are in a good position to petition if you can get good grades in the Spring.

i hope I get in for UC Davis.For some reason they approve my TAG.

@ray50117, actually they haven’t approve anything yet just like UCSD, UCSB, and UCI. They wait for your Fall grades then they start the process.

@ray50117:

Sorry, but I’ll give it to you straight. You won’t get into UCSD chem with a 2.98 and you’ll be disqualified from TAG if you drop below a 3.0 from the fall onward.

Last year, the non-impacted major cutoff GPA for transfers was a 3.2, and that’s not going down this year. You’ll need at least a 3.2 to get in without TAG.

Also, UCSD doesn’t do comprehensive reviews, so your EC/personal statements don’t matter. It’s your GPA, unfortunately.

@Ktran13:I doubt I will get TAG for SB ,SD,or UCI.I’ll see what happens.At least I tried and will apply for next year.

@Grimes:I’m pretty sure I’m not going to get admitted to SD.I know it’s quite a hard UC to get into,especially as a science major.Still got hopes for Davis though(first choice by the way).
