BackCracker WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW you are so immature. grow the f uck up.

seriously if you get a D, in intermediate algebra, at a community college ffs, every uc including merced should issue a restraining order keeping you miles away from it just in case what you have is contagious

wow is everybody on this board a stuck up ignorant prick? Not everyone is good at math you s hit. If your soooo smart, you should know better than to look down on people like that. Seriously, either grow up or just keep your s hit to yourself.

Don’t worry about your “D”. I got an “F” in Intermediate Algebra TWICE (it’s not because I’m stupid but incredibly lazy at times, especially when it comes to math. But laziness can be worse than stupidity at times). But after talking to my counselor, she bumped me up to Stats, which technically needs intermediate algebra to be completed with a “C” or higher to get into. I got an “A” in Stats and got accepted to UCSB (with TAG), UCI(Wihtout TAG) and USC. Honestly, don’t sweat it. Just work on getting a higher grade in your transferable class.

@ twistnswif - There are only 2 reasons why one cannot pass Intermediate Algebra. You have to be seriously ■■■■■■■■ OR you’re a lazy a-hole. So yes, getting a D means you should never attend any UC! I’m not immature I’m just keeping it real and I do not have any sympathy for lazy people. ;)

Oh no CRACKer is judging me…should I drop out now or later? Cracker=prick

TAKE ALL MATH CLASSES UP UNTIL PRECALC PASS/NO PASS! That way ur gpa won’t be affected by the nontransferable classes. That’s what I am doing right now (taking trig p/np, got a P grade in int alg.

BackCracker- Like I said, you are immature and ignorant. Taking any 5 unit math class in just 16 weeks can be quite difficult, especially if you dont know the information. What about those people who get D’s in calculus and physics classes, are you saying they dont deserve to go to Uc’s either? Just because a class is ‘remedial’ doesnt make it easy for everyone. Learning anything new is always hard, especially in math. Some people may not know the information, and soaking in all that info in just 16 weeks can be difficult. You are immature because you look at everything black and white. Just because one gets a D in that class does not make them lazy, like you said. Try to understand other people’s positions and step into their shoes instead of being a little prick and acting superior than others.

If you know the information, why would you be taking the class?

I got a D in Intermediate Algebra and I got rejected from the UCs I applied to. I had to appeal and submit proof of a passing grade in my transferable math this semester before they accepted me.

please tell me this is intermediate linear algebra and not the algebra you were supposed to take freshman and sophomore year of highschool.

This class can be very VERY hard when you’ve never seen this stuff before. It doesn’t make sense to insult someones intelligence because they can’t understand something they’re learning for the first time.

most people learn things they’ve never seen before…

I repeat, only grown ups on this site.

I’ll just leave this here:

Wow…just, wow.

On a separate note, don’t give up larinaga. The best of luck to you.

@VivaLaVida14

lol, the OP is at UCSB now. I think he’s solved his math class problem.

@Cayton Hahahaha.Oops.

Did someone literally make a new account to post a useless, meaningless comment in a topic that is 3 and a half years old?

There a grown ups on this site. People who are serious about going to college and want to do the best and be the best that they can. No one needs or wants you opinion.
