what are some majors that are "easy"? i.e. you can get a pretty good gpa. i've heard engineering tends to give low gpa's, and that's bad for med. school?

ahh, i'll let someone else take this one.

I am not experienced in this, but I have seen BDM say that science courses tend to be graded harder. I think it would depend on the school and on your strengths.

I think it really depends on what your strengths are; some people have an aptitude for chemistry and these classes are "easy" to them, while others have an aptitude for french and these classes are easy for them. Are you an incoming freshman? If so, I would suggest taking courses in completely different subject areas for your first year and you will have a good idea of what really interests you and what you can excel in. Sorry if thats not what you wanted to hear, but there really is no easy way to determine what you will excel in without giving it a shot, unless you are a genius and can excel in everything :p

The best major is the one you have a sincere interest in.

if you don't challenge yourself in college, then you won't be able to handle the heat when you go to med school.

Don't choose a major because it's easy. Choose it because you enjoy it. Why?

a) later on you may decide you don't wanna do med school. then you're stuck with a crappy major that'll get you a crappy job.
b) you'll regret not doing something that interests you when you're getting facts drilled into your head in medical school. learn what interests you in college, you won't have that chance in medical school.
c) an easy major will not always get you a high gpa. if you're taking easy classes and all of a sudden you're hit with the science prereqs for medical school, you'll probably flunk if you don't change your study habits right away.

For what it's worth, science courses are at least triple-weighted relative to other courses. (That's assuming BCPM GPA is as important as Overall GPA, and it might actually be more important.) So picking an easy major really isn't that big a deal.

An "easy" major is one you'll do well in. Chemistry was a (relatively) easy major for me. If I'd decided to be an English major... well, that would've not been easy. "Easy" is relative.

Psychology might be easy

An easy major is anything thats interesting to you. duh!

"An easy major is anything thats interesting to you. duh!"

I am interested in physics and math, but you don't see me majoring in either of them.

psych is easy, communication is easy, business is easy (all relative).

easiest major?...sociology
