<p>Many colleges have premed courses, but don't have a premed program. They ask the student to choose their own major....now what are some good majors for premed students if they want to be competitive for med school? </p>
<p>People have said that don't choose science majors because med schools want diverse student bodies. What majors are not GPA killers but are interesting to someone that is interested in medicine?</p>

What are you interested in, outside of medicine? </p>
<p>If you are strictly a science person, go for the science degree. Biology is the most common premed major and a lot of them are admitted to medical school. </p>
<p>But you can be admitted with a music degree as well. Pick something you enjoy and will be successful at.</p>
