<p>Haha, I may sound crazy but I agree that it all depends on perspective. Some students who are C students may think that a 1600/2400 is a high score, whereas students who are A students think that a 2100/2400 is a high score. </p>
<p>The reason why I say 2390 or 2400 is truly is a high score, and the number of people who achieve this score is so low that a 2400 would offset a low GPA somewhat (Depending on the GPA). A 2100 or 2200 would also, but not as much.</p>

<p>I basically have a 1500 but a 2180. I suck at writing and never will be good at it (good on essay VERY BAD on mc). Ok a 690 is not absolute crap but on these forums people who have about a 1500 have around a 750 + on writing.</p>
<p>yo, just in response to wat someone said b4, a 1950 is the new 1300 if u just do the multiply by 2/3 method, and that would mean 2100 would b new 1400, and 2250 the new 1500. at least thats how i interpreted it. but, its all in the eye of the beholder really</p>

<p>Even though people are saying that colleges don't include the writing, or whatever, I still think it's important that everything is high. Why? Because they wouldn't have included the writing if it was unimportant.</p>
<p>A 2100 isn't the same as a 1400. A 2100 is harder to get because it means you're good at not only 2 subjects, but 3.</p>
<p>Writing is obviously an important part of the SAT but it doesn't carry as much weight as the M or CR sections. Reason being that there is not enough statistical data to determine what constitutes a good writing score. You are right though, the writing is important, especially for top colleges, but if you are applying 25ish (ranked) or below, the writing section does lose some importance.</p>
