What is Math I, II, and III?

I'm new here, so thanks for any answers!

I was looking through my school's course catalog, and I noticed Math I/II/III. My schedule says that I will be in Math I next semester, and I don't know what it is!? Is it algebra or geometry? I know that it is common core but that is all that I know.

why don’t you ask someone actually in your school rather than, you know, strangers on the internet?

Well, I’m pretty sure that Math I is Algebra I, Math II is Geometry, and Math III is Algebra II because my school has this, too.

tacoperson is correct, but it is integrated, so math 1 has some geometry concepts. Math 2 has some algebra 2 concepts and algebra 1 concepts. Math 3 has some geometry and statistics concepts.

New common core crap. It’s basically just Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra II, respectively.

@kkpanu9, I’m pretty sure that Math I is Algebra I mixed with a little bit of Geometry, Math II is Geometry mixed with a little bit of Algebra II, and Math III is the rest of Algebra II. Math III Honors/Accelerated has some Precalculus concepts as well.

This is why I’m glad I got Algebra II done with before Common Core took over.

At least for NC, tacoperson123 is right for Math 1 - I think the Geometry component is very small. As far as I know, they just took Geometry and Algebra II and integrated them a bit so taco is probably right with the mixtures…

^Yeah. My guidance counselor informed me about them after I had already taken the original Algebra I/II and Geometry. My sister will be taking these three maths, and according to my counselor, “They aren’t that different from each other. There may be different concepts, but it depends on the teacher.” I told my sister about it, and I honestly think that I would have rather taken the Integrated Math(Math I,II,III.) It seems more fun, and it’s not strictly one subject.

Thanks guys. It’s weird, but whatever.
