i seriously don’t get it why won’t they let us superscore scores and send it?
Because they want to see if you’ve taken it 5 or 6 times. Or once or twice.
A 1560 after one sitting is more impressive than a 1570 after your fifth attempt, right?
Tippy top schools also want to discourage the billion attempt students – that’s simply bad decision making in the eyes of top schools. Do something constructive with your life rather than try to squeeze out another 20 pts to your SAT.
Here’s a live example: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/college-admissions/1952075-how-important-are-superscores.html
This person should NOT retake. That would be a negative in the eyes of top schools.
@T26E4 oh… fk >.< i am int student i took tests 3 times already… i did it just for practise (first 2 tests), on 1st test i got 1060 ( i had no idea what was SAT ,just registered and wrote it without ANY prep, october test), on 2nd try (kinda prepared for a month, nov 2016 test) got 1150, on 3rd and final one (in december) i got 1320… LMAO will this affect me really much? it sounds pretty stupid for students like mee >.< ye i understand if its about improving by 20 points then yea… but ill improve it by 100+ points . Should i describe my situation in APPLICATION? ( i will retake it again ofc, in august/june, to get 1500+ =D)
If you’re tracking (in your practice tests) to get 1500, then go for it. But I wouldn’t take it beyond a fourth sitting
No, you will just be digging a deeper hole. Spend a lot of time reading books, newspapers and magazines in English. Practice your written English too, becasue I think you might need to improve it.
@T26E4 ye… i didnt think about this before… but ill try to explain it in application, not in my essay tho
@Lindagaf nah i dont need improvement :)) , my english sounds pretty average on internet , thats because i dont pay attention to grammar. im not like this when i write tests haha
Here is some helpful advice. Please try to write in correct English, it will help you on your test. I am guessing ye means yes? And it is I’ll, not i’ll. Though, not tho, unless you are a deceased British author from centuries ago.
@Lindagaf thanks for advice,i’ll definitely try to write in correct English. nice tip , i’ll have to write SAT ESSAY section so it might help haha
As to orginal question “why won’t they let us superscore and send it?”, the reasons mentioned above about wanting to know how many times you took test might be relevant, but the answer to the specific question is that they want the offical score reports from the testing agency and not scores that depend solely on the honesty of the applicant, and College Board will not send only part of a test.
