Hi! I am planning to apply to Princeton RD but I haven't gotten a chance to visit it. I really like what I've read about it, but i know that that's not the best measure of whether a school is right or not. So, no big deal, but i'm just asking for opinions, anecodotes, things that drew you to princeton or things that you didn't like (but were obviously willing to overlook). I'm just curious what the campus and the people are like and what stood out to you...

haha...that would take a few hours to do. I would look back through some of the other threads...many of your questions will be answered there. Also, look at the Princeton website (http://www.princeton.edu) and see all of the info for prospective students. They've got quite a lot. If you have any ?'s about students themselves, there are a few who periodically visit this board (mzhang and a few others), so they'd be the ones to ask. I think they answered some questions we had about the social scene in an earlier thread.

also visit the archives. there is several years' worth of information.

i live 5 mins away from pton, and its quite detached from cities. there are MANY nice restaurants and shops around nassau street, which is a plus. most of the main buildings are close together (though ur dorm may not be). one drawback is that the engineering quad is slightly out of the way. personally, i enjoy the architecture and the atmosphere inside the older buildings.

and you wanna go to stanford?? blasphemy!!!

i dont want my rents visiting me every week. sorry? plus my high school can never get anyone into princeton, while getting 11 into HYS over the past two yrs.

naw, stanford, i was just kidding. i know exactly what you mean...i live in a college town and dont want to come here b/c of the same reason.

is there a link to the achives?

oooh hamlet reference
