My D is unwilling to take it in the senior year i.e. after the Junior summer so October is out and she is planning to apply early.
She has a 2210(770M,740W,700CR). She need to improve the CR, so What will be the best time to retake.
Will it better to retake in october?

June should be fine, but that still is a great score/

May SATIIs seem to fare better than June SatIIs at my public HS.

Do not know why though.....

The SAT I in June is definitely better than March for whatever reason
(oodles of people anectodal data)...SAT I in october seems to be
the most lenient (though CB and lot of erudite posters have explained
why its all a myth inthe past) ;)

Yesterday was the deadline for "regular" applications (the least $) for the May test. (I don't know how long you can go and pay the late registration fee).

D2 plans on taking the test on the June date; mostly because the May test is so close to her AP tests. (and it being on the day of prom makes it kind of crummy).

Her scores are great.....I wouldn't push her if she doesn't get the CR score she wants when she takes it this spring; she'll have enough stuff on her plate in the fall with apps and her senior year classes, I think she's wise in not wanting to take it in October.

Thanks all for the reply.
May is too close to APs and she is taking SATII Literature on that day, so I also think she will be better of taking it on June 7th.

Will any tutoring help at this point? She is shooting for anything above 750 for CR and will try for 800 in Math. We were told of private tutoring but passed on it thinking she will be able to handle it and because of the cost involved. The Princeton Review is asking for $3390 for 10 hours.

I wouldn't pay that kind of money for private tutoring. She's to the point now where some practice and maybe vocab prep would be effective. With math there really isn't any prep involved in going from a 770 to an 800, when the difference is one question it's obvious that she knows what she's doing.
