I have been admitted to University of California, Davis, in the Biochemical Engineering Major. My problem is that I didn't think that i would get in and I had planned to attend a local CSU (California State University), which do not have the strict "no D's or F's policy", as the UC's do. As a result, I developed seniortis and received a D in my AP calculus class last semester, which is my fourth year of my math.

What should I do now to not get my admission revoked from UC Davis? Should i accept my offer of acceptance now.. or some later time? My school offers "cyber high", which is a program on the computer to make up the classes students have failed. But that program only goes up to Advanced Algebra. What should I do? Summer school? Are there any other methods? Thanks!

You didn’t have to post the exact same thread 3 times.

Anyway, I don’t know what they will do. I think they are worried about seniors slacking off, but that may only be for second semester seniors.

Is this Calc BC? If so, can you ask your counselor if you can be given credit for having taken Calc AB, and withdraw from the BC class?

Thanks Everyone!
Sorry I’m new and i did not know if my computer helped me submit the post or not.

Plus, I am annoyinggirl.

bump. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. I need to make a decision quickly, so please help!

As I asked earlier, can you drop BC and just get credit for AB? Someone in my son’s high school was able to do that when he was in danger of getting a D in Calc BC.

Ask your counselor.

My s also got a d in apcalc first semester and is accepted at uc davis. Our counselor does not think it’s a deal breaker as this was an Elective class. He dropped the course second semester. The best approach is to fill out the form and write the letter now. You need a clear answer to make a decision on school in the next 30 days. You do not want bad news in July, face the issue and get an answer.

@vballmom Thanks. I have already received a D last semester. And no, I am currently in AB. Thanks for the tip, though. :]

@popeyoung5: Do you think it would be better to call them instead of writing a letter? If writing a letter is better, to whom do i write to? Thanks so much! :O)
